UNI-MAR POWER PLANT

UNIT Group is the owner of 480 MW Combined Cycle Gas Fired Power Plant at Marmara Ereğlisi, which is one of the first independent power plants developed, financed, constructed and being operated on "Built-Operate-Transfer" model in Turkey. The Plant is located 100 kms to the west of the city of Istanbul and it is designed and operated with full environmental consciousness.

The Plant has an annual average guaranteed generation capacity of 3.6 billion kWhs and the base load electricity is sold to the State owned electricity Company in accordance with a 50 years Implementation Contract and a 20 years Initial Energy Sales Agreement.

UNIT Group, as the developer and the founding partner of the Project, currently holds one third of the share capital of UNI-MAR.

TECHNICAL DATA:
480 MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant - 2 units of ABB GT 13 E-2 gas turbines, each with a capacity of 160 MW and 1 unit of steam turbine with a capacity of 160 MW

ARKUN DAM and HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT

UNIT Group is now running a new hydro project, already labelled as Arkun Dam and HEPP project.

The new hydroelectric plant is going to be driven by own-built Arkun Dam, geographicly located in İspir, Erzurum.

By December of 2006, UNIT Group is now evalauating the project engineering bids. After the decision on engineering partner, construction bids are going to be examined by the project group. The phisycal construction is to start subsequently after this final desicion making process.

The total approximate time span set for the construction of Arkun Dam and activation of the hydro plant is four years.

BAĞIŞTAŞ-II HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT

UNIT Group is now running a new hydro project, already labelled as Arkun Dam and HEPP project.

The new hydroelectric plant is going to be driven by own-built Bağıştaş-II Hydro Plant, geographicly located in İliç, Erzincan.

By May of 2007, UNIT Group is now evalauating the project engineering bids. After the decision on engineering partner, construction bids are going to be examined by the project group. The phisycal construction is to start subsequently after this final desicion making process.

The total approximate time span set for the construction of Bağıştaş-II Hydro Plant and activation of the hydro plant is three years.

PROJECT CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE:
3 Years by May, 2007.

 BOYABAT HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT

As of November 14, 2007, Boyabat Elektrik Üretim ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi has obtained the License of Boyabat Hydro Electric Power Plant.

 

Boyabat Ltd is a joint investment of Unit Investment N.V., Doğuş Holding and Doğan Group, in which Unit holds 33% of the total shares.

 

With its 510 MW installed capacity and 1,470 million kWh annual generation volume, Boyabat HEPP is the largest merchant Hydro Electric Power Plant investment in Turkey.  It is also important to note that there will be no royalty fees.

 

The plant will be constructed on Kızılırmak river and the HEPP is expected to be operational by 2011.

Total settled capacity  510 MW, is projected to produce 1,470 Million kWh/year.
