UNIT Biotechnology Igdir Sumerbank Spinning Factory Facility was established in 1976. It was purchased in its entirety by UNIT in 1998 prior to which it had remained inactive for some time. As a result of UNIT’s growth vision, Unit Biotechnology Agriculture Stock Farming and Industry inc. was established in Igdır by 25.04.2007 as an agricultural production facility. The company is engaged in the production of fruit puree concentrate and tomato paste from produce grown on the microlimated soils of Igdır. First trial production of whit apple puree was undertaken in September 2008 and the Company is currently producing apricot-apple-peach puree concentrate and tomato paste. Unit Biotechnology has strived to increase productivity through augmented technology usage and to support organic agriculture. The Company maintains high quality standards in the process of cultivating, storage, processing and packaging. In addition, we are committed to supporting agriculture and employment in the region and helping to develop Igdir and East Anatolia. 
 Facility Properties • The factory is established on 600.000 square meters outdoor and 30.000 square meters indoor area. • High technology 2.500 ton cold storage with atmosphere controller. • 10 ton/hr capacity fruit & vegetable puree and concentrate facility; Rossi & Catelli (Manzini) CFT S.P.A which was bought from Italy, assembled in 2008. • Farmer training center was established in order to develop the cultivation knowledge and methods. |
